Our Staff: Physical Therapy

NWO offers physical therapy as well as fitness in an 8,000 sq. ft. area. Our physical therapists have many years experience to handle any injury or condition. In addition, we also offer expertise in athletic training, exercise physiology, and occupational therapy services.


Larry A. Adolph PT, CEES, CEAS graduated from Ashland University in 1989 with a B.S. in Biology and Psychology. He was professionally trained at the Medical College of Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1992 with a degree in Physical Therapy. Larry received advanced certification in 1998 as an Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist and in 2000 as a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist.


Joseph W. Distel PT, CEAS

Joe graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Toledo in 1988 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. He completed professional training at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He received advance certification in 2000 as a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. Joe has worked in the industrial rehabilitation area since 1995 performing on-site job analyses, transitional work and functional capacity evaluations. A Certified Transitional Work Developer for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Joe has also been an adjunct faculty member in the School of Physical Therapy at both the Medical College of Ohio and The University of Findlay. He has been a lecturer for numerous professional conferences including the Northwest Ohio Self-Insurers Association of which, he is also a member. Joe’s areas of expertise are in the fields of sports medicine and industrial rehabilitation.
